14 Bar and Grill - Bootle, Liverpool, UK

Panoramic views of Liverpool City? Rooftop Bar? Good food and ambience? If that sounds like you, then 14 Bar and Grill is a must visit. We visited Liverpool for a weekend, and were looking for a rooftop bar to have food and enjoy some drinks. This seemed to tick all the boxes for us.

Location

This place is in a suburb called Bootle, which is around 10 minutes taxi ride from central Liverpool. The reason I said that it is a well kept secret, is that even the taxi driver didn't know this place and was struggling to find it. Strangely enough, this place is actually located on the roof of an apartment complex called Daniel House. Its a nice place, well tucked away from the mainstream bars and is very easy to get to. 

Interior, Ambience and Views

There is an indoor and outdoor seating area. Indoor area is spacious with a lot of tables. The outdoor area is of course only better in summertime when the weather is more forgiving. You are welcome to take your drinks and enjoy them if dining is not allowed outdoors due to adverse weather. You will be treated with the views like below from outdoors.



Food and Drinks

The menu has lot of choices so you have plenty to choose from. We got some gyozas, mini burgers, tuna and salmon sushi, roast chicken with bacon, and a load of cocktails. Although the prices are slightly expensive, it is worth it for the views, ambience, atmosphere and the taste.

Service

Although the restaurant was extremely busy, the service was great and the staff were friendly. We were always looked after well. 

Overall Comments

14 Bar and Grill was a lucky find for us in Liverpool and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. It is an excellent place to enjoy cocktails, food, sunsets and views of Liverpool city. I would visit there again the next time I'm in Liverpool.
