Spice Village Indian Restaurant - Drayton, Portsmouth, UK

If you are looking for authentic Indian flavour and not just curry's loaded with food colour, then Spice Village Indian Restaurant is your place. We have tried many Indian restaurants in Portsmouth, and being Indian ourselves, we know the taste of genuine Indian food. We go here at least once in two weeks, either for a date night or just whenever we feel like not cooking at home.

Spice Village Indian Restaurant, Drayton, Portsmouth

Location and Parking.

Located at 165 Havant Rd, Drayton, Portsmouth. There is plenty of parking on the Havant Road and also on Drayton Lane. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, the restaurant is quite busy so you may not get parking close to the restaurant, however you should get it within walking distance.

Interior and Ambience.

The interior is spacious with a lot of tables of different sizes. If you are going as a couple or group of three, it is highly unlikely that you will miss out on getting a seat here, but during busy times I would recommend that you call the restaurant in advance and make a booking. For larger groups, you should definitely book in advance so that you are not disappointed.

As for the ambience, well what can I say? They have nice Indian music playing in the background which will keep you entertained.

The quality of food is amazing for us, as we can feel authentic Indian flavours in their curries. Their menu has a range of items on offer which makes selection headache. Some of our favourites are Himalayan Chicken, Balti Chicken, Karala Chicken and Shimla Chicken.

Service.

We never had any bad experience here. The staff are friendly and the service is great. In very busy times, it can take longer than normal for the meals to arrive, but will be worth it.

Overall Comments.

We always go this restaurant for our comfort food and will continue to go there again. We still haven't tried so many things on the menu.

The Harbour Inn - Folkestone, Kent, UK

The Harbour Inn is an ideal place if you want a full course meal or just want to chill out and have a few drinks. Visited this pub on a cold and chilly afternoon just when outdoor dining was allowed again in UK. Interior Bar Area Location Located right on the harbour, it is central and easy to get to. There is a large pay and display carpark where you can park with ease and walk here in approx. five minutes. Food and Drinks There is a wide range of food and drinks available. We wanted something warm and quick so we went for chips and a burger. We also changed our plans at the last minute and decided to do a takeaway instead of outdoor dining. The staff accommodated our request with ease with no issues. The drinks were also good. Service The service for food and drink was absolutely fine. Although, I would think that some outdoor heaters should be arranged as it was absolutely freezing to sit outside that day. Great ambience, excellent cocktails and a good night out? Then Alchemist Liverpool is a place to be. Located in Liverpool Central, this cocktail bar is a must visit for a good night out. Don't forget to book your table to save any disappointment, as this place gets booked out easily. The bar area - Alchemist, Liverpool Location Located in central Liverpool, it is quite easy to get to get to. Its a short walk from the main high street. One thing about such central location, is that it gets full easily on busy nights. Food and Drinks The specialty of this place is its cocktails, so if you want to try out some of that then you have come at the right place.
